"Throwing caution to the wind, she stepped adventurously into the large cavern to meet her fate.
Her fate was of a sparkly sort..."

"YOUR FACE."

Hurray I made it safely to Anchorage yesterday! It's lovely here, a little chilly, but perfectly cozy! I can see the mountains from my boyfriend's house! This weekend we're going to go clamming and hiking, next week we're going on a 4hr sightseeing cruise and will go berry picking to make a blueberry pie!

I'm just glad to be with him again~ : 3

Due to not being able to find a job yet this summer, and needing to be able to pay for quite a few things before august, I am opening up commissions! Details follow!

I AM TAKING COMMISSIONS ONLY FOR:

* Handmade journals
* Handmade notebooks/notepads
* Handmade sketchbooks

Here is a sample of one of my handmade books (commissioned books will be blank books only, no text): fav.me/d1xvfai . I will be posting a couple more pictures of books I have made in the next week.

I'm still working out pricing, but an example would be something like two 4" x 6" blank sketchbooks, each with around 120 - 160 pages, for $15, no shipping and handling unless you commission a very heavy, large book : )

Some options I'm offering: (but feel free to ask if there's something you want that you don't see listed!)

Options offered at no extra charge:

* Choose your cover color (plain colored paper)
* Choose your endpapers (inside cover design)
* Blank (smooth white, 20lb paper) or graph paper
* Personalized label (unless very complicated design is requested)
* Up to 3 built-in envelopes and 8 double-sided folder pages
* Hardback (default) or paperback

Options offered for a small extra fee:

* Request special extra fancy cover paper
* Lined paper (because I have to hand-line them)
* Ribbon place-marker
* Ribbon-tie closure
* More than 3 built-in envelopes or more than 8 double-sided folder pages
* Accordion file inside the cover
* More than 120 pages (variable fee, depending on how many extra pages)
* Special paper for pages (bristol, charcoal, colored, watercolor, etc.)

Sizes offered:

* 2"x3" - minimum of 3, for $8
* 3"x4" - minimum of 2, for $8.50

I will offer other discounts if you buy more than the quantities priced above : D

PLEASE COMMISSION ME!!

I will accept money orders and checks.. I'm a bit wary of PayPal, so I'm not sure that I'll be accepting it - reviews of PayPal would be helpful if any of you have experience! I will accept concealed cash if absolutely necessary. Contact me for address details : )

Final

Last day of classes this semester; Hooray? Just 5 final exams and then summer! This summer's going to be a doozy - observation hours, volunteer work, summer job, trip to Alaska, etc.

Next semester will be busy as well! Only 17 credit hours this time, but I'll be in at least one Research Lab, if not two, and in one I'll be doing an Honors Research Project, working with some of my professor's research interests. Plus work, too.

I'm just looking forward to the week after finals - My birthday, canoeing, hiking, picnic-ing, going to the zoo! Then getting to see all my high school friends the week after : D

THEN TWO WEEKS IN ALASKA OMGSOEXCITED. Have to buy my ticket soon, and some luggage!

I do plan on doing some artwork/sewing this summer too, so keep an eye out! I'll take some pretty photos on vacation, too.

Wish me luck on finals!

Spring semester is drawing to a close, and I must say that I am both quite pleased and a bit saddened by this event.  Happy because I have almost finished my 20-credit-hour + 10-work-hour/week semester (let's hope I'm unscathed) and because I get to relax for a couple months in the brain department (Brain: "Phew!").  Saddened because I won't get to see my darling for a few months.

However!  I will be going to Alaska to visit him for two weeks in August (hooray for first plane rides)!  Perhaps I will also finally finish some art that's stacked up in my sketchbook (I've been quite remiss).  And oh the llama pictures I shall share!  Only three more semesters of undergrad to go, in the event that everything goes as planned.  Then it's off to grad school with me (I'm hoping), possibly to a PhD program (oh my! I'm such a masochist! D: ).

Also, I will be working toward getting my book published in the next few years (scary!), so I'll keep you all on the up-and-up as far as that goes.  I've entered it into a literary contest; we'll see if it gets anything (cross your fingers!).

I like you so far, 2010; keep up the good work.

May I also recommend the following to you all: reading the book "Ender's Game," and eating radishes (they're oh-so-delicious).
